In 2013 Balmoral launched the series Añejo 18 and in 2014 its top cigar Torpedo MK 52, which made a great influence worldwide. This cigar received 93 points in the Cigar Journal, was awarded in the French magazine L'Amateur de Cigare (Cigarscope) with five cigar ribbons and came in the 12th place of the Cigar Journal in its ranking list of the 25 best cigars from the Dominican Republic. It was really a great year for Balmoral. However, the unique 18-year-old Arapiraca wrapper is a very rare product. To continue the success of the Añejo, which was based on its matured tobacco varieties, Balmoral now introduces the Balmoral Añejo XO as the successor to the Añejo 18, and the XO stands for 'eXceptionally Old'.
