THE GREAT BOOK OF THE HABANO
A new compendium for cigar lovers
Cuban Habanos expert Adriano Martínez Rius presents his latest book titled with "The Great Book of the Habano". Born in 1938, the author has been closely associated with the Cuban cigar industry for over fifty years. For many years he has advised several Cubatabacco (now Habanos S.A.) presidents in marketing and sales matters. In 1999 he published his first book "Habano the King", and in 2004 he published "The Great Habano Factories", one of the best and most comprehensive works on cigar manufacturers in Havana. He was involved in an advisory on the publishment of the book "Illustrated Encyclopedia of post-revolutionary Havana cigars'' in German.
With his new book "The Great Book of the Habano", he covers a wide range of the history of tobacco in Cuba, the history of brands and cigar manufacturers in Havana, as well as the marketing of habanos in our time. The book is beautifully illustrated and presents a wealth of historical material such as photos, advertising prints, lithographs and documents. In addition, it has a very useful appendix list of cigar factories, a complete overview of all formats of the annual Edición Limitada and other Habanos specialties until 2010.
