Czarny welcomed the La Meridiana Cameroon Selection as following:
"The La Meridiana cigars have often been written that they are made in Nicaragua, but it was a Cuban cigar brand many years ago, that it is Villiger, etc., but little has been written about the La Meridiana Kamerum Selection, or how it stands on the solidly made cigar boxes of that series - the "Cameroon Selection".
With this context, with this recommendation, I would like to draw your attention explicitly to the Cameroon selection, which in my eyes (in a similar price range) is one of the most interesting cigars from Nicaragua. I admit, the cigars from the series are now difficult to get, because the production had stopped years ago and only the very last boxes are found in few cigar shops. Fortunately, the cigar dealer, Zigarren Herzog in Berlin, leads in these boxes.
The La Meridiana "Cameroon Selection" has always convinced me with its perfect craftsmanship. The steady, almost always very precise burning, the perfect drawing resistance and the fine taste of dark chocolate, cedar wood and a bit of black earth characterize all cigars in the "Cameroon selection". The dark cover sheet from Cameroon has a still slightly oily sheen even after years.
The sizes of Especial and Lonsdale are recommended for occasions with up to 45 and 50 minutes of smoking time. The largest formats Piramides and Double Coronas, however, need more than an hour to enjoy with dignity. "
